**NEW DELHI** – TVS Motor Company has stolen the spotlight at Auto Expo 2025 with the debut of the Jupiter CNG, the world’s first CNG-powered scooter. While anticipation built for Honda’s potential Activa CNG launch, TVS has taken the lead in this burgeoning segment of the two-wheeler market.
The Jupiter CNG boasts a 1.4kg CNG tank integrated under the seat, sacrificing under-seat storage space. A 2-liter petrol tank is also included on the floorboard. Powered by a 124.8cc engine, it delivers 7.1 bhp and 9.4 Nm of torque, with TVS claiming a combined petrol and CNG range of 226 km.
Design-wise, the scooter largely retains the aesthetics of the petrol-powered Jupiter 125, with changes limited to the addition of the CNG powertrain. However, TVS has clarified that the showcased model is a concept version, and a launch date for the production model has yet to be announced. The company is currently in the development phase.
