Mon Jan 13 11:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Colman Domingo to Host in Edgar Wright’s “Running Man” Remake

**LOS ANGELES** – Paramount Pictures has found its host for the upcoming “Running Man” remake. Deadline has exclusively learned that Colman Domingo will play the emcee of the deadly game show in Edgar Wright’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.

Domingo joins a cast that includes Glen Powell as Ben Richards, Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian, and Daniel Ezra. The film, set for a November 7, 2025 release, reimagines the dystopian thriller, focusing on a desperate man who enters the violent game show to save his daughter.

While Brolin’s character will serve as the central antagonist, Domingo’s casting highlights the importance of the host role, echoing the memorable performance of Richard Dawson in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Wright and his team reportedly sought a high-profile actor for the part, securing Domingo, who is fresh off an acclaimed performance in A24’s “Sing Sing,” a Golden Globe nomination, and recent roles in “The Madness” and an upcoming Steven Spielberg film.

Edgar Wright is co-writing and directing the film with Michael Bacall, and producing alongside Nira Park and Simon Kinberg. George Linder will executive produce.
