In a YouTube interview on Hindi Rush, Khanna recounted a story told to him by a mutual friend. The friend claimed to have overheard Bachchan criticizing Khanna for imitating his style in a perfume advertisement. Bachchan allegedly remarked, “Saala copy karta hai” (He’s copying me).

Khanna stated that while he initially dismissed the anecdote, the alleged comment remained in his mind.
