Sun Jan 12 13:30:00 UTC 2025: **Hulu Docuseries to Detail Abuse Case of YouTube Family Vloggers Ruby and Kevin Franke**
LOS ANGELES, CA – A new Hulu docuseries, “Devil In The Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke,” will premiere on February 27th, offering an in-depth look at the child abuse case involving popular YouTube family vloggers Ruby and Kevin Franke. The series will include exclusive interviews with Kevin Franke and two of his children, Shari and Chad, marking their first extensive on-camera accounts of the events.
The Frankes’ YouTube channel, “8 Passengers,” once boasted 2.5 million subscribers, portraying a seemingly idyllic family life. However, concerns regarding Ruby Franke’s extreme parenting methods surfaced over time, ultimately leading to her and business partner Jodi Hildebrandt’s arrest and sentencing for aggravated child abuse in February 2024.
The docuseries will utilize over 1,000 hours of unseen footage from the Franke family’s YouTube channel, alongside interviews with friends, neighbors, and family members. Shari Franke, in her recent memoir “The House of My Mother,” detailed the abuse she and her siblings endured, expressing regret over the family’s online presence. She has since stated that she will no longer share her private life publicly.
“Devil In The Family” promises a comprehensive examination of the Franke family’s rise to fame, the escalating concerns surrounding their parenting, and the devastating consequences that followed. The series is expected to offer a critical perspective on the impact of social media and the complexities of family dynamics.
