**Ballia, Uttar Pradesh:** A 92-year-old woman died of shock after learning of her son’s death following a family dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district. Police reported the incident, which occurred in Yogendra Giri Ki Mathiya village on Saturday night.
The dispute, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Kripa Shankar, stemmed from an argument over a mobile phone. During the altercation, 45-year-old Dinanath fell and sustained a fatal head injury. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Upon seeing her son’s body, his mother, Phul Jharia Devi, reportedly succumbed to shock.
Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have initiated an investigation and filed a First Information Report (FIR) based on a complaint filed by Dinanath’s brother, Deep Narayan. The investigation is ongoing.
