**Cape Town, South Africa** – South Africa continued their dominance over Sri Lanka in the second and final Test match at Cape Town, reaching a commanding first innings total of 358 runs on day two.

Resuming their innings from 269/7, the Proteas added another 89 runs before being bowled out. Kyle Verreynne top-scored with an unbeaten 105, following his overnight 48. Rilee Rossouw contributed a century in the first innings. Lahiru Kumara was the pick of the Sri Lankan bowlers, taking four wickets for the match.

South Africa had won the toss and elected to bat first. Their strong first innings performance puts them in a strong position to win the series 2-0. Sri Lanka’s first innings is currently underway.
