**Suva, Fiji** – The Fijiana XV suffered a heavy 45-17 loss to Manusina Samoa in their WXV3 match, leaving head coach Mosese Rauluni disappointed with his team’s performance.
Rauluni acknowledged that Samoa dominated the match in all facets, highlighting their superior physicality as a key factor in the defeat. He expressed his disappointment with the players’ lack of effort, admitting that the margin of the loss was unexpected given their solid preparations.
“We lost every physical battle on the field today,” Rauluni stated. “Samoa wanted it a lot more than us. It was just so disappointing. The efforts from some of the girls just wasn’t there. We trained well all week but we just couldn’t take it to the field.”
Rauluni identified a lack of effort in several players as a major concern, emphasizing the need to address this issue moving forward.
The Fijiana XV will now face Spain in their next WXV3 match on October 13th, with Rauluni hoping for an improved performance from his team.
