**MUMBAI -** The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is set to host a career fair for its affiliated players, offering them opportunities both within and outside the sport. The decision was made during the association’s apex council meeting on Friday.
The event will feature a meet-and-greet session with top executives from various corporate organizations, as well as former and current Indian cricketers. The MCA aims to help players explore career paths beyond the field, ensuring they have a secure future.
The career fair builds upon recent initiatives by the association, including a session on financial management for young cricketers. The cricket fraternity believes this event will significantly benefit players by opening doors to job opportunities.
In other news, the MCA announced plans to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Wankhede Stadium on January 19, 2025. A new air-conditioned enclosure for club secretaries will be created at the Vithal Divecha Pavilion.
Furthermore, the MCA will organize an equipment fair for players and affiliated clubs, offering them the chance to purchase equipment directly from manufacturers at discounted prices.
Finally, all trainees selected for the off-season camp in various age categories will receive first-class passes and travel allowances from the MCA.
