Fri Sep 20 07:30:33 UTC 2024: ## AVI-8 and Capcom Team Up for Second Timepiece Collaboration: Flyboy 1942 Automatic Pixel Limited Edition
**London, UK -** Following the success of their first collaboration last summer, AVI-8 and Capcom have announced the release of their newest timepiece: the Flyboy 1942 Automatic Pixel Limited Edition. The watch, inspired by Capcom’s iconic 1980s arcade game “1942,” is a vibrant tribute to classic pixel art and retro gaming.
The Flyboy 1942 features a custom-molded 3D dial with a pixel-like texture and pattern, complete with decorations and Arabic numerals in a matching font. Three variants are available: Silver Ace, Gunmetal Ace, and Midnight Ace, each sporting a unique dial design. The Silver Ace boasts a stainless steel build with a black bezel and dial, while the Gunmetal Ace features a gunmetal build with a light blue sky background. The Midnight Ace, with its blackened appearance and tonal bezel and dial, is the only variant to showcase the aircraft carrier from the game’s opening sequence.
All three variants come in a 41mm case size, powered by a Japan-made automatic movement with a date function. They are paired with a 5-link engineer-style steel bracelet and a complimentary leather strap.
The Capcom-collaborated watches are available for pre-order now on AVI-8’s website and will officially launch on September 27th, priced between $385-$395 USD.
This exciting new collaboration promises to be a hit among fans of classic video games and stylish timepieces alike. With its retro aesthetic and impressive craftsmanship, the Flyboy 1942 Automatic Pixel Limited Edition is sure to be a sought-after collector’s item.
