**LOS ANGELES** – Paramount and Hasbro’s “Transformers One” is poised to dominate the box office this weekend, kicking off its run with a strong $3.36 million in Thursday previews. The animated prequel, directed by Josh Cooley (“Toy Story 4”), is expected to rake in between $30 million and $40 million over its opening weekend, surpassing Warner Bros.’ “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and claiming the top spot.

The film, featuring a star-studded voice cast including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, and Keegan-Michael Key, offers a fresh take on the beloved “Transformers” franchise, exploring the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron before their epic rivalry.

“Transformers One,” boasting a $75 million budget, is expected to turn a profit thanks to positive reviews and a well-received reimagining of the popular IP.

Meanwhile, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the sequel to the classic Tim Burton film, is set to add around $25 million in its third weekend, maintaining its strong box office performance.

Adding to the weekend’s offerings is Lionsgate’s survival thriller “Never Let Go,” starring Halle Berry. The film aims to earn between $4 million and $6 million in its debut, following a $360,000 preview haul.
