UDF Celebrates Victory in Kochi Corporation Polls
KOCHI, India – December 14, 2025 (The Hindu) – Jubilant United Democratic Front (UDF) supporters celebrated their victory in the Kochi Corporation polls near the counting center at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, on Saturday.
Even before the official counting began, crowds gathered near the entrance of the college. Initial excitement grew as the Left Democratic Front (LDF) took the lead with postal votes, but was soon met with an equally enthusiastic response from UDF activists. BJP candidates also celebrated, announcing the victory of current councillor T. Padmakumari.
By late morning, the atmosphere had turned celebratory as UDF workers cheered and celebrated, their enthusiasm spilling onto the roads and disrupting traffic.
The victory of “Nirmala teacher”, a UDF candidate, was celebrated by the family members. Independent candidates reflected that the importance of each vote and community trust.
