**Kerala Tech Employees Donate ₹28 Lakh for Landslide Relief**

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – June 20, 2025 – Prathidhwani, a welfare organization representing information technology (IT) employees, has donated ₹28,66,918 to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to aid in the rehabilitation of communities devastated by recent landslides in Chooralmala and Mundakkai, Wayanad district.

The substantial contribution was handed over to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his office earlier this week by Prathidhwani State convener Rajeev Krishnan. Several ministers including M.B. Rajesh (Local Self-Governments and Excise), O.R. Kelu (Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes), K. Rajan (Revenue), and K. Krishnankutty (Electricity) were present at the ceremony.

The funds were raised from 1,156 IT professionals working at Technopark, Infopark Kochi, and Cyberpark Kozhikode, representing Prathidhwani’s units across Kerala’s major tech hubs.

The donation is specifically earmarked for the construction of a new house (budgeted at ₹20 lakh) and other essential infrastructure (₹8.67 lakh) within the township project aimed at rebuilding the lives of the landslide-affected communities.

This act of solidarity highlights the commitment of Kerala’s IT workforce to supporting those in need following the tragic landslides. The CMDRF will ensure the funds are used effectively to rebuild homes and provide essential services to the displaced families.
