**BAPATLA, INDIA – May 21, 2025** – A tragic car accident near Vadarevu beach in the Chirala mandal of Bapatla district, Andhra Pradesh, has claimed the lives of three young men and left six others injured. The incident occurred on Monday evening when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned after a tire reportedly detached.

The deceased have been identified as Karthik, 23, Nayak, 20, and Ajay, 22, all residents of Guntur. According to Chirala DSP M.D. Moin, the group of friends had visited Vadarevu beach earlier in the day and were returning to Guntur when they decided to return to the beach. It was during this second trip that the accident occurred.

Preliminary investigations suggest a critical mechanical failure was the cause, with a tire detaching, leading to the vehicle overturning. A second tire also came off during the incident. Nine people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The injured, identified as Pasala Devadatha, Kastala Samuel, Kodamala Hosanna, Pasupuleti Vishnu Sasanth, Vattikuti Tanush Venkata Naga Sai and Achutha Pranesh, are currently undergoing treatment at Chirala Government Hospital. Their condition is being closely monitored.

Chirala Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
