**Beijing, [Date of Publication]** – In a surprise weekend announcement, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced that Jin Xiangjun, the deputy Party secretary and governor of Shanxi Province, is under investigation for serious disciplinary violations and suspected illegal activities. Jin, 60, last appeared publicly on April 10th, presiding over a Shanxi provincial government meeting.
