**Madurai, Tamil Nadu – March 11, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC)-Madurai has been recognized for its outstanding tyre performance in the rural category, receiving a prestigious National Public Bus Transport Excellence Award. The award, presented at a ceremony in New Delhi on International Women’s Day, is part of the annual awards recognizing efficiency and fuel efficiency in State Road Transport Corporations across India.

This year, 19 awards were presented to Tamil Nadu’s transport corporations. TNSTC-Madurai secured the top prize for Tyre Performance (Rural) and three additional runner-up awards. R. Singaravelu, Managing Director of TNSTC-Madurai, accepted the award from former Governor and IPS Officer Kiran Bedi, who served as the chief guest at the event organized by the Ministry of Road Transport and National Highways.

Tamil Nadu Minister S. S. Sivashankar and Additional Secretary K. Panindra Reddy extended their congratulations to the winning team. The award highlights TNSTC-Madurai’s commitment to efficient and cost-effective operations in rural areas.
