Mon Mar 10 17:13:17 UTC 2025: ## Couple Found Dead in Karnataka Tank After Apparent Suicide
**Shivamogga, Karnataka, March 10, 2025** – A 35-year-old man and his 60-year-old mother were found dead in a tank near Hirisave in Channarayapatna taluk on Monday. Police identified the deceased as Bharath and his mother, Jayanthi, residents of Kabballi.
According to reports, Bharath’s marriage to Geetha eight months ago had recently deteriorated, leading to Geetha’s return to her hometown. Distressed by the marital problems, Bharath and Jayanthi took their own lives, leaving a suicide note at their home.
Neighbors discovered the house’s main door open and the pair missing. Slippers found near a nearby tank prompted a search, leading to the discovery of their bodies. The Hirisave police have registered a case. Authorities are reminding those in distress to seek help via helplines 104 and 14416.
