Tue Mar 11 15:18:59 UTC 2025: **Telangana Seeks Central Approval for Major Infrastructure Projects**

Hyderabad, March 11, 2025 – Telangana’s Roads and Buildings Minister, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, met with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi today to secure central government approvals for several key infrastructure projects. The primary focus was on expediting the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, specifically seeking Cabinet approval and Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee clearance for the northern section. This section, with tenders already issued for ₹7,100 crore, requires the signing of an Economic Tripartite Agreement and forest clearances.

Minister Reddy also pressed for the finalization of the alignment for the southern section of the RRR, connecting Choutuppal, Amangal, Shadnagar, and Sangareddy. Accompanied by Congress MPs, he further advocated for the construction of a 62-km elevated corridor on the Hyderabad-Srisailam (NH-765) highway, emphasizing the need for forest permissions as it passes through the Amrabad Tiger Reserve. This project, proposed by the central government to benefit pilgrims visiting the Srisailam temple, has already completed its survey.

The meeting also addressed the lack of Telangana’s inclusion in the Centre’s Parvatmala scheme for ropeway projects. Minister Reddy proposed ropeways for several religious and tourist sites, including Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Bhuvanagiri Fort, and Hanuman Konda. Finally, he sought the completion of the 6-laning of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada section of NH 65 and the four-laning of the Hyderabad-Manneguda section of NH 163. Minister Reddy also held a subsequent meeting with Union Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu.
