**Mumbai, March 10, 2025** – An Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was forced to return to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Monday after a bomb threat was discovered onboard. The AI119 flight, carrying over 320 passengers, landed safely following established security protocols after a passenger found a note reading “There is a bomb in the flight” in an aircraft restroom.
Air India confirmed the incident in a statement, citing a “potential security threat” detected mid-flight. The airline stated that the flight has been rescheduled for 5:00 AM on March 11th, and all passengers have been provided with hotel accommodations, meals, and other assistance.
