**Bengaluru, February 12, 2025** – A 50-year-old construction worker was injured Wednesday after a building compound collapsed on him near Netkallappa Circle in Basavanagudi. Sharanappa, a labourer from Yadgir, sustained leg injuries when the soil beneath an adjacent compound gave way during excavation work for a new building. Police, alerted via the emergency helpline, rescued Sharanappa and transported him to a hospital. According to police reports, excessive excavation loosened the soil, causing the collapse.
