VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh – February 12, 2025 – YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of neglecting key sectors and betraying electoral promises. Addressing public representatives in Guntur district, Reddy highlighted his government’s ₹2.71 lakh crore investment in Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes, achieved despite COVID-19 challenges.
Reddy contrasted his administration’s performance with Naidu’s, alleging that the current government has failed in education, healthcare, agriculture, and industry. He attributed the YSRCP’s reduced vote share in recent elections (a 10% decrease from 40%) to his refusal to make false promises, unlike Naidu.
Reddy expressed confidence in the YSRCP’s future, declaring his intent to remain active in politics for another 25-30 years. He further criticized Naidu’s slogans as misleading and the TDP’s inability to engage with the electorate due to broken promises. He also accused the coalition government of widespread corruption, involving liquor and sand scams, and the arbitrary arrest of government critics.
Reddy concluded by predicting the electorate’s strong rejection of the current government and pledged the YSRCP’s return to power with a “Jagan 2.0” governance model.
