**SEATAC, WA** – A minor collision between two planes on the ground at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) caused temporary flight delays Wednesday morning. Around 10:17 a.m., a Japan Airlines plane taxiing for departure struck the tail of a parked Delta Airlines 737. The incident occurred during de-icing procedures as winter weather impacted the region.
Both airlines worked to safely return passengers to the terminal. No injuries were reported among passengers or crew. A ground stop was briefly implemented for arriving flights between 10:36 a.m. and noon to allow for investigation and aircraft repositioning.
The Delta flight, destined for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was delayed. Delta Airlines confirmed that passengers were accommodated on a replacement aircraft. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
