Wed Feb 05 02:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Florida State Snaps Losing Streak with Victory Over Notre Dame

**TALLAHASSEE, FL –** Florida State University’s men’s basketball team defeated Notre Dame 67-60 Tuesday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center, ending a four-game losing streak. The Seminoles dominated the second half, fueled by strong performances from Malique Ewin (16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists) and Jamir Watkins (19 points).

Despite missing key players Taylor Bol Bowen (concussion) and Jerry Deng (ankle injury), FSU showcased a resilient performance. The game was a close contest in the first half, with Notre Dame even taking a late lead. However, an 18-0 run by FSU in the first half and consistent pressure in the second propelled them to victory.

The Irish, struggling on the road with a 2-6 record, saw strong performances from Markus Burton (20 points) and Braeden Shrewsberry (8 points, 5 rebounds), but ultimately couldn’t overcome FSU’s home-court advantage and second-half surge. The Seminoles improved their home record against Notre Dame to 7-0 and extended their overall series lead to 11-5.

The game, broadcast on the ACC Network, marked the only meeting between the two teams this season. FSU now holds a 14-9 overall record and a 5-7 mark in ACC play. Notre Dame falls to 10-12, and 4-7 in conference. The Seminoles travel to Wake Forest for their next game.
