Mon Feb 03 10:13:16 UTC 2025: **Shivamogga to Host 19th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana**
SHIVAMOGGA, INDIA (February 3, 2025) – The 19th Shivamogga district Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, a major Kannada literary festival, will be held in Shivamogga city on February 6th and 7th. The event, hosted at Sahitya Grama, will feature a procession, seminars, a poets’ meet, and a book exhibition and sale. Over 4,000 attendees are expected, with approximately 25 book stalls set up.
Noted writer Dr. J.K. Ramesh will preside over the Sammelana. Filmmaker Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar will inaugurate the event, with further participation expected from Minister Madhu Bangarappa, Kannada Development Authority Chairman Dr. Purushothama Bilimale, Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sharath Ananthamurthy, and senior journalist Dinesh Amin Mattu (who will participate in the valedictory function). D. Manjunath, president of the Shivamogga district Kannada Sahitya Parishat, announced the details at a press conference.
