The 12th edition of the event featured over 60 leading Carnatic musicians and 40 junior artistes performing the Pancharatna kritis, five iconic compositions by saint-composer Thyagaraja in praise of Lord Rama.
Auditor Kalayana Raman inaugurated the programme, attended by Bhavan’s Tiruchi Kendra director J.T. Chari, chairman Chandrakumar, and other officials. The two-hour-long performance, which included accompanying musicians, drew a large and enthusiastic audience.
