**NEW DELHI** – Tata Motors has unveiled the all-electric Sierra at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, marking the return of the iconic SUV after a two-decade hiatus. Initially launched as an electric vehicle, petrol and diesel variants are planned for later release. First previewed as a concept at Auto Expo 2023, the production Sierra EV boasts a blend of classic and modern design elements. The original three-door model has been replaced by a more practical five-door version, featuring a connected LED DRL strip, large windows, flush door handles, and rugged alloy wheels.

The interior is inspired by Tata’s Safari and Harrier, offering a luxurious experience with dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a wireless charger. Safety is prioritized with features like an electronic parking brake, ISOFIX anchors, multiple airbags, and an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).

Two battery options are available: 45kWh and 55kWh, providing a claimed range of up to 550km on a single charge. Built on Tata’s Acti.EV platform, the Sierra EV offers both AWD and RWD configurations. Pricing will be revealed later this year. The Sierra EV will compete with other electric SUVs in the Indian market, including the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e, and BYD Atto 3. The Bharat Mobility Show also saw several other notable launches and unveilings, including the Porsche Taycan facelift, Kia EV6 facelift, the Hyundai Creta EV, and the Kia Carnival Hi-Limousine.
