**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – Suzuki Motorcycle India has made a significant stride in the Indian market with the launch of its first flex-fuel vehicle, the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel. Priced at ₹2.17 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model commands a ₹25,000 premium over the standard Gixxer SF 250.
The key feature of the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel is its ability to run on petrol blended with up to 85% ethanol. Suzuki achieved this compatibility through upgrades to the fuel injector, fuel filter, and fuel pump. The company hinted that this technology may be adopted in future models.
Performance remains largely unchanged, with the bike continuing to deliver 27bhp at 9300rpm and 23Nm of torque at 7300rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Currently, there is no official word on any gearbox modifications.
Available in Matte Black and Matte Red, the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel is poised to attract environmentally conscious riders. Bookings for the bike will open shortly. This launch marks a significant step by Suzuki towards promoting cleaner fuel options in the Indian motorcycle market.
