**PALAKKAD, January 17, 2025** – The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad celebrated its 10th anniversary on Friday, felicitating founding members and key contributors to its success. The event saw the attendance of Bhaskar Ramamurthi, mentor director, and P.B. Sunil Kumar, founding director, as chief guests. Current director A. Seshadri Sekhar praised the tireless efforts of faculty, staff, and students in building the institute into a top educational institution. Ramamurthi and Kumar shared their experiences and observations on the institute’s growth. Ramesh Venkateswaran, chairman of the Board of Governors, also addressed the gathering. The celebrations will continue this weekend with an open house on Saturday and Sunday, coinciding with the techno-cultural fest ‘Petrichor’, offering the public a chance to explore the campus facilities.
