Fri Jan 17 17:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Pushpa 2: The Rise’s Extended Cut Boosts Box Office, Eyes Dangal’s Record
**Mumbai, January 18** – Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rise – Part 2* continues its phenomenal box office run, even in the face of stiff competition. The film, which released an extended 20-minute version on January 17th, raked in an estimated ₹0.65 crore on its 43rd day, according to Sacnilk.com. While this represents a 33.33% drop from the previous day’s earnings, the film’s total net collection in India now stands at a staggering ₹1224.65 crore. Globally, the film’s net collection stands at ₹1729.5 crore (as per Day 42 figures).
The release of the extended cut, initially slated for January 11th but delayed due to technical issues, is expected to provide a further boost to the film’s earnings. The film’s success comes despite the recent release of several other big-budget films including *Game Changer*, *Mufasa*, *Max*, *Marco*, and *Baby John*.
*Pushpa 2*, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is now aiming to surpass Aamir Khan’s *Dangal* as the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. *Dangal* holds the current record with over ₹2070 crore in worldwide collections. While *Pushpa 2*’s current global collection is significantly lower, its continued strong performance suggests a potential challenge to *Dangal*’s reign. The film, produced on a budget of ₹400-500 crore, is a sequel to the hugely successful 2021 release, *Pushpa: The Rise*.
