Fri Jan 17 13:58:37 UTC 2025: ## Coimbatore Fire and Forest Officials Rescue Overstuffed Python

**COIMBATORE, January 17, 2025** – A large Indian rock python was rescued from a farm near Coimbatore on Friday after being found unable to move due to a recent, substantial meal. Fire and Forest Department personnel responded to calls from local residents after the python was spotted near Gudalur Kavundampalayam.

The reptile, hampered by its large prey, regurgitated a spotted deer during the rescue operation. After its meal was dislodged, the python was safely transported to the Thadagam reserve forest and released back into the wild.

A forest official stated that the farm is located less than a kilometer from the forest, explaining the frequency of such incidents. The successful rescue highlights the ongoing collaboration between local residents and wildlife authorities in managing human-wildlife interactions.
