**New Delhi:** Indian cricketer Rinku Singh, known for his explosive batting performances, has reportedly gotten engaged to Priya Saroj, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party. The engagement took place recently, according to media reports.
Singh, a regular member of India’s T20 team, has garnered significant attention for his impressive performances in recent years, playing a crucial role in several match-winning innings. He has scored 55 runs in 2 ODIs and 507 runs in 30 international T20 matches. His last match for India was in November 2024, and he is expected to feature in the upcoming five-match T20 series against England.
Saroj, a 25-year-old lawyer who previously practiced in the Supreme Court, won the Lok Sabha elections from Machhlishahar. She is the daughter of three-time MP and current MLA Tufani Saroj, a prominent member of the Samajwadi Party. Educated at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute and Delhi University (BA) and Amity University (LLB), Saroj is considered one of the youngest leaders in Indian politics.
