**PRAGUE, Czech Republic –** A propane-butane cylinder explosion at a restaurant in Most, Czech Republic, on Saturday night resulted in six fatalities and eight injuries, emergency services reported on Sunday. The blast, which occurred late Saturday evening, also triggered a fire that led to the evacuation of 30 people from the restaurant and nearby buildings.
According to initial reports from witnesses and the fire brigade, a heater overturned, igniting the explosion. Interior Minister Vit Rakusan stated that a propane-butane heater likely tipping over in the restaurant’s front garden was the cause. Firefighters rescued one seriously injured guest trapped in a bathroom. Approximately 20 patrons were inside the restaurant at the time of the incident. The explosion left a section of the area cordoned off.
