Wed Jan 08 10:24:57 UTC 2025: ## Prashant Kishor Refused Medical Examination After Arrest: Doctor
**Patna, Bihar:** A new revelation has emerged in the case of Prashant Kishor, who was arrested on January 6th following his hunger strike in support of BPSC aspirants. Dr. Pawan Kumar, of the Fatuha Community Health Center, revealed that Kishor, after his arrest, refused a medical examination at the facility despite being there for over half an hour. This contradicts Kishor’s earlier claims regarding his treatment.
According to Dr. Kumar, Kishor refused even a simple blood pressure check and provided a written statement declining any examination. While Kishor is currently hospitalized at Medanta Hospital in Patna, citing deteriorating health, Dr. Kumar stated that Kishor appeared to be in stable condition at the Fatuha center, only complaining of feeling cold. The doctor emphasized that a proper assessment was impossible without an examination. A report detailing Kishor’s refusal was submitted to the district administration.
Kishor’s previous statements claimed he was denied admission at AIIMS due to lack of paperwork from the police and that he was kept in an ambulance for five hours before being taken to Fatuha. He praised the Fatuha health center staff for not issuing a fitness certificate under pressure.
The Patna district administration also issued a statement clarifying that Kishor’s refusal was documented and that pressure to provide a false fitness certificate or report was never an issue, as court appearances do not require a fitness certificate, only a health report.
