**Patna, Bihar:** Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraj Party, has been hospitalized after his health deteriorated during a five-day hunger strike protesting alleged irregularities in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th preliminary examination.
Kishor, who was arrested Monday morning by Patna police and briefly detained before being released on bail, refused the bail conditions and continued his protest. His health worsened overnight, leading to a medical team from Medanta Hospital visiting his residence Tuesday morning. Doctors diagnosed him with weakness and dehydration. Despite his deteriorating condition, Kishor stated his hunger strike would continue before being admitted to the hospital for further examination.
The arrest and subsequent release followed a protest at Gandhi Maidan. Police reportedly drove Kishor around Patna in an ambulance for several hours before his court appearance. His planned announcement of a new protest location has been postponed due to his hospitalization.
