Fri Dec 20 14:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Jagan Targets Single-Digit Seats for Chandrababu in Upcoming Elections
**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh:** Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has declared that limiting Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu to single-digit seats in the upcoming elections is the party’s primary goal. Addressing a meeting of YSRCP leaders and elected representatives from Anantapur district on Thursday, Jagan Mohan Reddy outlined a strategy for achieving this objective.
He urged party workers to actively utilize social media platforms and engage in grassroots-level campaigns, highlighting issues such as pension delays and electricity price hikes. He criticized the TDP’s “Vision 2047” as mere rhetoric designed to distract from broken election promises. He contrasted this with the YSRCP government’s initiatives, such as introducing English-medium instruction in government schools and establishing village clinics and family doctor programs, calling these real examples of vision. He further accused the TDP of manipulating village water management elections.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also accused Chandrababu Naidu of imposing a ₹15,000 crore burden on the people through electricity charges within six months of assuming power. He announced protests at the constituency and district levels on January 27th and 3rd respectively, focusing on electricity charges and fee reimbursement arrears. The YSRCP is clearly aiming for a decisive victory in the upcoming elections.
