**Chennai, December 8, 2024** – The Namasankeerthana Vizha 2024, a prestigious event organized by the Integrated Academy for Performing Arts, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, and the Bhagavatha Seva Trust, concluded Sunday with the honoring of two prominent Bhagavathars. Marudhanallur Sri Kannan Bhagavathar received the Sankeerthana Kalanidhi title, while Sri Harihara Subramania Bhagavathar was bestowed with the Sankeerthana Choodamani title.

The event also saw the presentation of several other awards, including the Accompaniment (Harmonium) Support Award to Sampath Kumar, the Best Percussion (Dolki) Support Award to Lakshmi Narasimhan, and the Bhagavatha Kainkarya Sironmani Award to V. Sujatha. Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham seer Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya participated virtually and addressed the gathering, praising the Bhagavatha Seva Trust’s work in supporting Bhagavathars in need. Udaiyalur K. Kalyanarama Bhagavathar, managing trustee of the trust, highlighted the organization’s long-standing commitment to providing financial assistance to deserving Bhagavathars, particularly those in rural and remote areas.
