**Rohtak, Haryana –** Delhi police have arrested a 19-year-old man, identified as Sohit alias Ritik, from Sonipat, Haryana, in connection with the murder of a seven-month pregnant woman. This arrest follows the earlier apprehension of two other suspects, including the victim’s boyfriend, Salim alias Sanju.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, disappeared from her home in Nangloi, Delhi, on October 21st. An investigation revealed that Salim, along with Sohit and another accomplice, Pankaj, conspired to abduct her. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Satish Kumar, the trio strangled the woman and subsequently buried her body in Madina village, Rohtak.
A case was registered on October 24th, leading to the arrests of Salim and Pankaj. Sohit, however, managed to evade capture until Friday, when he was apprehended near Singhasan Banquet in Rohtak. During interrogation, Sohit confessed to his involvement in the premeditated murder, detailing how Salim planned the killing of his pregnant girlfriend. The three men abducted her, strangled her, and then buried the body.
Delhi Police, searching for the missing woman, discovered the body after excavating the grave in Madina village. Sohit is now facing legal proceedings.
