NEW DELHI – The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹6,230 crore project to extend the Delhi Metro by 26.46 km, connecting Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana via Narela. The new corridor, part of the DMRC’s Phase-IV project, will feature 21 elevated stations and is expected to be completed within four years. This extension of the Red Line will improve connectivity between Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Haryana, easing traffic congestion and reducing pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR). The project marks the DMRC’s fourth expansion into Haryana, further integrating the region’s transport network.
