KOCHI, KERALA – December 6, 2024 – Acclaimed Odissi dancer Madhulita Mohapatra will be performing at the Changampuzha Maholsavam in Kochi on December 8th. Mohapatra, who started her Odissi journey later in life after discovering the dance form through television performances of legendary dancers, will present “Colours of Krishna,” a captivating performance showcasing various facets of Krishna’s life. The performance will feature her Nrityantar Dance Ensemble, a group she founded in Bengaluru with over 300 students. Mohapatra, also a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, is actively working to popularize Odissi dance in Kerala, teaching both online and in-person classes. Her performance at the Changampuzha Park at 6 pm promises to be a highlight of the festival.
