**New Delhi, India** – Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his roles in films like *Chhapaak* and *Haseen Dillruba*, has clarified his recent announcement about “retiring” from acting. In a new statement, Massey stated that he is not retiring but instead taking an extended break to prioritize his health and family.

Massey’s initial social media post, which alluded to a final appearance in 2025, caused widespread speculation. However, he explained that the post was misinterpreted. He is currently experiencing burnout and needs time to focus on his well-being and personal life. “Acting is all I can do, and it has given me everything,” he said. “But my physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off to better my craft.”

The actor, who recently attended a special screening of his film *The Sabarmati Report* with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, left a press event when asked about his retirement. He is currently working on two films, *Yaar Jigri* and *Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan*, and plans to return to acting when the time feels right.
