**Warangal, Telangana, December 1, 2024** – A major encounter between security forces and Maoists in the Eturu Nagaram mandal of Mulugu district, Telangana, resulted in the death of seven Maoists. The clash occurred in the Chalpaka forest area, where Greyhounds (anti-naxal force) engaged in a fierce gun battle with the Maoist group. Among the dead is reportedly Badru, the secretary of the Narsampet area.
Police recovered a significant amount of weaponry from the encounter site, including two AK-47 rifles and explosives. While police are yet to officially confirm the details, the encounter is a significant blow to Maoist activity in the region. This follows a similar encounter in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, on November 22nd, where ten Maoists were killed. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and further details are expected to be released soon.
