**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** A tragic road accident claimed the lives of six students and critically injured another in Dehradun early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 1:30 am at the ONGC Chowk when the students’ car rammed into a truck from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was reduced to a mangled wreck.

The deceased students were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). All except Kukreja, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, were residents of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The seventh occupant, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), is currently in critical condition at Synergy Hospital.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to determine the circumstances leading to the collision. It remains unclear which institution the students belonged to and where they were traveling from at that late hour.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and offered condolences to the bereaved families. He prayed for the departed souls and strength for the families to endure this tragic loss.
