**Hazaribag, Jharkhand:** Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the ruling JMM-led coalition in Jharkhand, equating it to a “burnt transformer” that fails to deliver the benefits of the Centre’s development programs. Addressing a rally in Hazaribag, Shah urged voters to elect a BJP government, promising peaceful Ram Navami celebrations and his personal participation in the festival in the region.
Shah, drawing a comparison to the Centre’s development initiatives, likened the Modi government to a high-tension power line. “While the HT line cannot deliver electricity directly to homes, a transformer is needed. The Hemant Soren government, like a burnt transformer, is unable to pass on the lakhs of crores of rupees sent by the Centre for development,” he alleged.
Shah went on to accuse the JMM-led government of being involved in several scams, including ₹1,000 crore in MGNREGA, ₹600 crore in land deals, ₹1,000 crore in mining, and liquor. He further accused the coalition of misappropriating the free ration sent by PM Modi.
He also claimed that the JMM-led alliance had allowed Maoist activities to flourish, but PM Modi had successfully eradicated them in the past 10 years.
Taking a swipe at the Congress, Shah blamed the party for turning Kashmir into a hub of terrorism. He challenged Congress leaders to visit Lal Chowk with their grandchildren without fear, a stark contrast to the past when they were afraid to visit the area.
Shah’s fiery speech is seen as a strong message to voters ahead of the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
