Wed Oct 30 11:00:00 UTC 2024: ## US Ambassador Eric Garcetti Grooves to Bollywood Hits at Diwali Celebration

**New Delhi, India** – US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti continued his trend of embracing Indian culture by showing off his dance moves at the US embassy’s Diwali celebrations. Garcetti, known for his Bollywood dance skills, joined in on the festivities by dancing to the popular song “Tauba Tauba” from the film “Bad Newz.”

The 53-year-old ambassador, clad in a brown kurta and shades, was seen shaking a leg to the hit track, drawing cheers and praise from those present. The video of his performance was shared on social media, with many users commenting on his impressive dance skills.

This isn’t the first time Garcetti has showcased his love for Bollywood. Last year, he delighted attendees by dancing to “Chaiyya Chaiyya,” another popular song, during the embassy’s Diwali celebration.

The US ambassador has consistently demonstrated his appreciation for Indian traditions, celebrating various festivals since his appointment last year.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden hosted a Diwali celebration at the White House, attended by over 600 Indian Americans, including Congressmen, officials, and corporate executives. Notable attendee Sunita Williams, an Indian-American astronaut currently aboard the International Space Station, joined in the celebrations remotely.

Garcetti, who called the White House event a “beautiful Diwali celebration,” emphasized the importance of the contributions of Indian Americans in strengthening the US-India bond. He concluded by expressing his wish for the light of Diwali to illuminate every corner of the world, spreading peace and prosperity.
