Fri Oct 11 14:53:20 UTC 2024: ## Delhi CM Residence Row: AAP Accuses BJP of ‘Anti-Women’ Tactics, BJP Alleges Corruption

**New Delhi:** The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized the eviction of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from his official residence, accusing the BJP of resorting to “anti-women” tactics.

Sisodia had moved into the residence, previously occupied by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for 9 years, two days ago. However, authorities sealed the residence, claiming it was not allocated for residential purposes and Sisodia’s occupancy was unauthorized.

AAP alleges the eviction was orchestrated at the behest of the Lieutenant Governor, acting on the BJP’s instructions. AAP leader Priyanka Kakkar condemned the removal of Sisodia’s belongings from the residence as a manifestation of the BJP’s “anti-women” attitude.

Meanwhile, the BJP has countered these allegations, claiming that Sisodia moved into the residence after spending millions on renovations. The BJP alleges that Sisodia’s move was driven by personal preference and that his actions are indicative of corruption.

The incident has escalated tensions between the AAP and the BJP in Delhi, with both parties trading accusations and highlighting the political conflict surrounding the Delhi government.
