**Mumbai, India:** Siddhant Chaturvedi’s action thriller “Yudhra” had a promising start at the box office, earning an estimated ₹4.5 crore on its opening day, Friday, September 20th. Released on National Cinema Day, the film attracted a good response from audiences, particularly those who enjoyed the action and violence genre.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, “Yudhra” achieved a strong 46.54% Hindi occupancy on Friday, with the highest occupancy witnessed in the night shows at 75.67%. Pune led the way in terms of city-wise occupancy with a remarkable 67.75% on its first day. Delhi-NCR followed closely with a 58.25% occupancy.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Excel Entertainment, the film features Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, and Malavika Mohanan in key roles. “Yudhra” marks Chaturvedi’s first “big ticket solo hero” action film after his breakthrough role in “Gully Boy.”
Chaturvedi is currently working on the intense project “Dhadak 2,” which shares the title with the 2018 film but is a separate story. “Dhadak 2,” directed by Shazia Iqbal, will also feature Triptii Dimri and is produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.
