Fri Sep 20 08:45:04 UTC 2024: ## Apple Expands iOS 18.1 Beta to Public Testers, Bringing AI Features to More Users

**San Francisco, CA -** Apple has opened up its iOS 18.1 beta program to the public, giving users a chance to experience upcoming AI features like Writing Tools and Clean Up before the official release. Previously, only Apple developers had access to the beta program.

This move comes just days after Apple released the fourth developer beta of iOS 18.1. Both the developer and public beta versions share the same build number and features, including the first batch of Apple Intelligence functionalities.

However, to access these new features, users must have an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 model running iOS 18.1 beta and must set both their device and Siri’s language to US English. They must also join the Apple Intelligence waitlist within the Settings app.

It’s important to note that the current beta release only includes a portion of the planned Apple Intelligence features. Other perks, like ChatGPT integration, the Image Playground app, and Genmoji capabilities, are expected to arrive later this year as part of the iOS 18.2 update.

Those interested in joining the public beta program and trying out these new features can follow the instructions on Apple’s website. Alternatively, users can wait for the stable build, which is scheduled for global release next month.
