**New York, September 20 (ANI):** Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the US has ignited a wave of excitement among the Indian diaspora.
PM Modi’s three-day trip, beginning September 21, will be jam-packed with engagements, including high-level meetings with global leaders, the annual Quad summit, and participation in key discussions at the United Nations. He will be attending the QUAD (Quadrilateral Security Dialogue) Leaders’ Summit and the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the UN.
“America is like a superpower,” said Indian student Mohammad Zaid, expressing his excitement. “The Indian Prime Minister is coming and it’s a proud moment for all the Indians living here.”
Nagendra, an Indian resident of Boston, travelled all the way to New York to attend PM Modi’s event with the diaspora, stating, “I am happy to be here.”
The Indian-American community is also gearing up for a major community event on September 22. Over 24,000 people have registered for the event, titled ‘Modi & US: Progress Together’, a celebration of the Indian-American community featuring cultural performances and prominent figures.
A key event during PM Modi’s visit is the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the UN on September 23. This high-level summit aims to forge a new international consensus on delivering a better present and safeguarding the future. With the theme ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’, the summit seeks to mend eroded trust and demonstrate the effectiveness of international cooperation in tackling threats and opportunities.
Secretary General Antonio Guterres has described the summit as a “once in a generation UN Summit.”
