Fri Sep 20 07:39:25 UTC 2024: ## Manchester United Injury Boost: Hojlund and Mount Return to Training

**Manchester, England -** Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has announced that Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount are nearing a return to the first team after injury layoffs.

Hojlund, the Danish striker, has been sidelined for almost two months with a hamstring injury sustained during the club’s pre-season tour. Mount, meanwhile, has missed the last three matches due to a muscular injury.

“It’s very good news,” Ten Hag stated at a press conference on Thursday. “They are back on the pitch, they are back in team training, and we have to decide whether they are fit enough to start.”

The news comes as a welcome boost for United, who have been on a winning streak, securing victories against Southampton and Barnsley in their last two outings. The team’s attack has been particularly impressive, with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho both scoring hat-tricks in the recent Carabao Cup win.

“It’s very good, of course, that your strikers are starting to score when the season is very young,” Ten Hag commented. “Strikers need that belief, and we have now a couple of players who are, in the meanwhile, on the scoring list.”

The return of Hojlund and Mount will provide Ten Hag with additional options in attack as United prepare for a busy schedule ahead. Their next fixture is a Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

“We know it’s always tough there, always aggressive there,” Ten Hag acknowledged. “But we know also the circumstances and you can’t compare this. We didn’t have a fit squad last time. This time it’s totally different, we have now a fit squad.”

With a full squad at his disposal, Ten Hag will be confident of securing a positive result against Palace and continuing United’s strong start to the season.
