**Dutse, Jigawa State -** A 40-year-old man, Jibrin Adamu, was found dead in a classroom at Miftahul Khairat Islamiyya And Primary School Gurdiba in Jigawa State on Thursday evening. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu, Adamu committed suicide by hanging himself.
Police investigations revealed that Adamu had a history of mental illness and had been missing for days before returning home. Before his death, he had left home to fetch water near the school.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmadu Abdullahi, has ordered an investigation into the incident. The deceased’s body has been released to his family for burial.
