**Wardha, Maharashtra:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Wardha district in Maharashtra on September 20th to participate in the National PM Vishwakarma Programme and lay the foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park in Amravati.

During his visit, PM Modi will mark one year of the PM Vishwakarma initiative by releasing certificates and providing loans to beneficiaries of the scheme. He will also distribute credit to 18 artisans representing 18 different trades. To commemorate the success of the initiative, a commemorative stamp will be released.

The Prime Minister will then lay the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati, Maharashtra. This 1000-acre park, developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), is one of seven such parks being established nationwide. The PM MITRA Parks aim to position India as a global textile manufacturing and export hub, attracting significant investments and generating jobs in the sector.

In addition to these key events, PM Modi will launch the “Acharya Chanakya Kaushalya Vikas Scheme” by the Government of Maharashtra. This scheme will establish skill development centres in colleges across the state, training youth aged 15 to 45 in various skills. The program aims to empower around 1,50,000 young individuals annually with free skill development, making them self-reliant and employable.

To further support women entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister will also introduce the “Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Women Start-Up Scheme.” This scheme will provide financial assistance of up to ₹25 lakh to women-led startups in Maharashtra, with 25% of the funds reserved for women from backward classes and economically weaker sections.

PM Modi’s visit is expected to generate significant interest in the development of the region, particularly in the textile industry and skill development initiatives.
